Good News Festival 19/02/2026 – 20/02/2026 St. George’s Arts & Science College celebrated the Good News Festival on the 19th and 20th of February 2026 in the Central Hall. The program commenced with the opening prayer by Ms. Aletha Francis, Administrator – College Programs. This was followed by a formal welcome by Dr. V. Victor Solomon, Principal. The students were encouraged to participate in various competitions conducted for the Good News Festival. These competitions were conducted to declare the good news of the Gospel and to enable students to share their knowledge about the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ. There was a lot of participation from all the students. The students were highly competitive and did their best to glorify the Lord Jesus and to win the prize. The valedictory function was held on the 20th of February from 1:30 pm onwards. Ms. Smitha Mol Cletus T., Librarian opened the valedictory function with prayer. The opening prayer was followed by a prayer dance from the students. Ms. E. Semmalar - Asst. Prof., Department of BCA read the Bible. This was followed by an official welcome from Dr. V. Victor Solomon, Principal. Dr. Geoffery K. Francis, Founder & Secretary introduced and felicitated the Chief Guest, Rev. Samuel. Dr. Geoffery K. Francis then addressed the students and encouraged them to keep persevering in the Lord. Rev. Samuel delivered the Chief Guest’s address and spoke to the students about the love and forgiveness of the Lord Jesus. He said that the gospel is truly good news as it brings hope, peace, joy and eternal life. The Chief Guest’s address was followed by the Prize distribution. Ms. J. Sharon Jemima – Asst. Prof., Department of English delivered the vote of thanks. At the end of the program the students went away happy that they were given an opportunity to display their talents and also to glorify their Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
