St. George's Arts and Science College organised a Financial Wellness Workshop on 30 July 2026 in the Central Hall for the students of the B.Com. and B.B.A. departments. To accommodate all participants, the workshop was conducted in two sessions at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The programme commenced with an opening prayer by Ms. Aletha Francis, Programme Co-ordinator, followed by the welcome address by the Principal, Dr. V. Victor Solomon. Dr. R. Subitha Rani introduced the Chief Guest, Ms. Sheeba, MBA, Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India and BFSI SME Corporate Trainer. In her insightful address, Ms. Sheeba emphasised the importance of developing the habit of saving early, understanding the power of compound interest, and building wealth through disciplined financial planning. She also highlighted the significance of diversifying investments and making informed financial decisions. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, allowing students to clarify their doubts on personal finance and investment. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. D. Samundeswari. The workshop left students inspired to adopt responsible financial practices and motivated them to begin planning for a financially secure future.
