On 12/09/2024 the ED Cell and IIC (Institutions Innovation Council) of St. George’s Arts and Science College hosted the Startup Spark – Idea Fest – A Business Plan Competition 2024. 2 external Chief Guests were invited and were asked to be judges. The students were encouraged to present their business plans for the type of businesses they want to be entrepreneurs in. The students had to prepare power point presentations detailing the Business name, tag line, type of product, marketing strategy, future updating plans, profit and loss statements. The students presented their business ideas. The judges gave the students feedback on their presentations and advised a few students on what should be the next steps or which areas they need to go into for higher education. 3 winners were selected and prizes were given. This was a great platform for students to display their business, marketing and presentation skills. Students were happy that they were provided with this opportunity and faculty were instrumental behind the successful program.
